Any AI Studio started in early 2025 as a personal tool. We were paying $20/mo for ChatGPT Plus, $20/mo for Claude Pro, and topping up Gemini Advanced. Every prompt began with the same question: which model should I open today? The answer almost always was "actually, send it to all three and compare."
So we built the thing that should have existed: one chat surface, every frontier model, branch and compare built in. No homegrown wrappers — we talk to each provider's native API so when Anthropic ships extended thinking or OpenAI ships a new reasoning model, you get it the day it lands. No telemetry-as-product — we don't train on your data and we configure no-retention flags upstream wherever providers allow it.
What we believe
Pick the best model for the task. The frontier moves every quarter. GPT was best at code, then Claude was best at code, then GPT again. The next benchmark will flip again. The right client lets you switch in one click, not in one billing cycle.
Conversations belong to the user. Export, delete, share, revoke — everything in your account is yours. We make money when you pay us, not when we monetize you elsewhere.
Software should feel fast and quiet. No animations that block you. No empty-state mascots. No "AI is thinking" placeholder with spinning sparkles. Streaming output, keyboard shortcuts everywhere, dark mode by default.
Who builds it
A small distributed team that previously shipped at YC-backed developer-tools companies. We work on the product full-time. The roadmap is public on the blog. The codebase is closed for now but the contract (OpenAPI spec) is what every client — web, iOS, the eventual CLI — builds against.
